Very thoughtful Tod, thanks. I recently did a similar exercise (ok maybe a lot of people are doing it end of year) and found returns by deal source showed a similar pattern as you - people you know are best, and there is good stuff on angel list but overall lower returns there. I think something to do with being hard to defer trust on an angellist deal.
